Uluwatu Temple is located in Pacatu Village, Uluwatu, Badung, Bali. According to Lontar (ancient literature) Kusuma Dewa Pura was founded on the suggestion of MPU Kuturan around the 11th century. This temple is one of the six Sad Kahyangan Temples mentioned in Lontar Kusuma Dewa. There are six temples called Sad Kahyangan Temple, namely Besakih Temple, Lempuyang Temple, Goa Lawah Temple, Uluwatu Temple, Luhur Batukaru Temple and Pusering Jagat Temple. Uluwatu Temple is located on a cliff with a height of about 97 meters above sea level.
